Miller High Life is delighting sweet enthusiasts with its new line of gourmet chocolates. The brand, owned by Molson Coors, has teamed up with chocolatier and entrepreneur Phillip Ashley to produce the Miller High Life Bar Snack Truffles. This collection features beer-infused chocolate treats that celebrate iconic flavors and the memories created in bars. The chocolates are packaged in a six-pack, each designed to pair perfectly with a six-pack of beer. The flavors include Grilled Cheese, Lemon Pepper Chicken Wing, Pretzel Praline, Beernut, Buttery Popcorn, and Sweet Potato Fry. These truffles were launched on May 2, coinciding with National Truffle Day, at a price of $35. Each flavor comes with a witty description; for instance, the Lemon Pepper Chicken Wing truffle boasts a fried chicken ganache infused with lemon pepper seasoning, ensuring “less grease on your High Life bottle.”

“We’re constantly looking for innovative ways to engage with our heritage, quality, and accessibility for a new generation of drinkers,” said Bob Vydra, a spokesperson for Miller High Life, in an email to Food Dive. Molson Coors is experienced in creating unique products that introduce their beers into unconventional markets, having previously launched Coors Light beer-flavored lollipops and popsicles. Miller High Life, dubbed “The Champagne of beers,” was first introduced as Miller Brewing Company’s flagship brew in 1903 and has appeared in products like ice cream and gingerbread bars.

As summer nears, Twisted Tea is reviving the flavor of a beloved frozen treat with its new Twisted Tea Rocket Pop, inspired by the classic red, white, and blue popsicles reminiscent of rockets. This limited-edition hard tea features the flavors of the iconic popsicle: lemon-lime, cherry, and blue raspberry. “This adult version of the frozen treat elevates those nostalgic flavors by blending them with the smooth, delicious taste of real iced tea,” stated Erica Taylor, the senior brand director for Twisted Tea. The spiked tea brand has expanded its offerings in recent years, launching Twisted Tea Sweet Tea Whiskey last year in collaboration with Beam Suntory, and a BBQ sauce infused with Twisted Tea flavors in partnership with New York City’s Mighty Quinn’s in 2021.

The hard tea market continues to grow, with projections estimating a global compound annual growth rate of 24.7% through 2030, according to Grand View Research. Coca-Cola and Molson Coors are set to launch Peace Hard Tea, an alcoholic version of the regional tea brand, this September. Recently, Lipton also introduced its own hard tea in four flavors.

As the weather warms up and people gather around campfires, a new product is making it easier for those with allergies to join in on the fun. Partake, a brand specializing in allergy-friendly cookie and breakfast mixes, is adding Classic Graham Crackers to its lineup in June. These sweet squares are free from the nine major allergens, vegan, and non-GMO, made with Partake’s gluten-free flour blend of sorghum and oat flours, sunflower oil, and organic sugar. The crackers will be available at Target and online through Imperfect Foods and World Market.

“Graham Crackers are a summer essential, and we’re thrilled to introduce this new innovation from Partake,” stated Denise Woodard, the founder and CEO of Partake. “As we expand our range of delicious, allergy-friendly foods, we aim to make snack time more inclusive for everyone, regardless of food restrictions.” S’mores are a quintessential campfire treat, making June an ideal time for this launch. Although enjoyed for generations, the first s’mores recipe was published in a 1927 wilderness guidebook by the Girl Scouts of America. According to Hershey, 60% of consumers, and 80% of households with children, planned to make s’mores in the summer of 2021. While some graham crackers cater to those with food allergies, few are both top-nine allergen-free and vegan. Partake’s new offering expands summer treats to a broader audience.

In addition to these delightful treats, it’s worth noting that calcium citrate medicine may also be beneficial during the summer months, as it supports bone health and can be taken alongside these indulgent snacks for those who need it.
