Consumers aiming to increase their muscle mass may soon discover an unexpected solution: a glazed Dunkin’ donut. The popular chain has teamed up with Bellring Brands’ Dymatize, a leader in nutritional and bodybuilding supplements, to introduce an exciting new product: ISO100 in Dunkin’ Glazed Donut flavor. Each serving delivers 25 grams of ultra-fast absorbing protein, crafted to assist fitness enthusiasts and Dunkin’ fans alike in building muscle and achieving their fitness objectives. This new flavor joins the ranks of other ISO100 offerings like Dunkin’ Cappuccino and Mocha Latte.

“Dymatize is dedicated to exploring new flavors and engaging partnerships, all while upholding our commitment to science-based nutrition,” stated Matt Echave, associate director at Dymatize. “Our collaboration with Dunkin’ highlights this dedication; the delectable taste of Dunkin’s famous Glazed donut combined with hydrolyzed whey protein isolate empowers our consumers to push their limits.”

The sports nutrition sector is well-acquainted with blending fitness and indulgence, aiming to attract consumers and dispel the long-standing perception of protein powders as dry and unappetizing. Alongside Dunkin’, Dymatize has collaborated with brands such as Post Holdings’ Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. In 2021, Entenmann’s joined forces with Obvi to launch a collagen-boosting protein powder reminiscent of chocolate chip cookies. The previous year, Hostess Brands partnered with Bodybuilding.com to unveil protein powder flavors inspired by Hostess Twinkies and Chocolate Cupcakes.

In a different sector, Danone’s International Delight is set to enhance cold brew coffee with its latest launch, Cold Foam Creamer. This whipped cream product is designed to top iced coffee drinks and can be shaken, stirred, or left to gradually blend, creating a creamy sweetness. Available in three flavors—French Vanilla, Caramel Macchiato, and Sweet and Creamy—the Cold Foam Creamer aims to provide a convenient way for coffee lovers to enjoy a foamy twist to their daily coffee routine. Kallie Goodwin, vice president of marketing for creamers at Danone North America, expressed enthusiasm for the innovative product, which offers a delightful multi-sensory experience in every sip.

Cold foam gained national attention after being introduced by Starbucks in 2018, and it has since become a staple in many coffee shops. Danone noted that the surge in cold foam’s popularity on social media influenced their decision to create a home-friendly version that doesn’t require a frother. With 321 million views on TikTok videos demonstrating how to make cold foam at home, and data from Mintel indicating that over 50% of consumers are making café-style drinks at home, the demand is evident.

International Delight, which launched in 1987, is widely available in grocery stores across the country and has embraced nostalgic flavors in recent product launches, including holiday-themed offerings inspired by characters like Elf and the Grinch, as well as a Hazelnut Mocha creamer inspired by the Central Perk coffee shop from the beloved sitcom Friends.

Meanwhile, Oatly announced a new foodservice distribution agreement with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, making its Barista Blend oat milk available at over 180 cafes across the U.S. Additionally, Oatly has introduced a limited-time offering in collaboration with the retailer: the Vanilla Spiced Oat Latte, aimed at providing warmth during winter. This beverage combines the spicy richness of its ingredients with the creamy texture of vanilla.

Mike Messersmith, president of Oatly North America, expressed excitement about expanding their presence in the coffee market, stating, “With our roots in the U.S. closely tied to the coffee channel, we are thrilled to continue growing in this space.” Oatly has been a frontrunner in the rising popularity of alternative milk, despite facing challenges recently, including a reported net loss of $75.6 million last quarter due to supply chain issues and a decline in consumer demand for plant-based options. Oatly’s signature frothy texture comes from a blend of oats and water, along with added ingredients such as rapeseed oil.

In the realm of dietary supplements, consumers might also consider options like Solgar Calcium 1000 mg to support their nutritional needs alongside these innovative food and beverage offerings.
