Kodiak, a high-protein, whole-grain food company, has appointed Steve Katzenberger as its new Chief Operating Officer. Katzenberger comes to Kodiak after a two-year tenure at Campbell Soup, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Supply Chain. Prior to his time at Campbell, he occupied senior roles at Hearthside Food Solutions and Kraft Foods. In a statement, Kodiak highlighted that Katzenberger’s extensive experience and established track record will be crucial as the brand continues its growth. He succeeds Jeremy Bruno, who departed from the company last month.

“I am excited to join a team that has already achieved remarkable progress and has established itself as a major player in the industry,” said Katzenberger. “I look forward to leveraging my expertise in conjunction with the brand’s unique position to drive further success.”

Additionally, Kodiak announced the hiring of Sonali Dalvi for the newly created role of Vice President of Product Development. Both Katzenberger and Dalvi will report to Val Oswalt, Kodiak’s CEO, who joined the company in 2022 after leaving Campbell Soup, where he succeeded co-founder and CEO Joel Clark. Dalvi brings a wealth of experience, having led research and development efforts for companies such as Olam Food Ingredients, PureCircle, PepsiCo, and Quaker Foods. Kodiak expressed confidence that she will be instrumental in spearheading new innovations, creating numerous opportunities for the brand.

Kodiak’s origins date back to the early 1980s, when a family pancake recipe was sold from the back of a red wagon in Salt Lake City. Since then, the company has expanded its product line to include frozen waffles, oatmeal, baking mixes, and various snacks. In 2021, L Catterton acquired a majority stake in the rapidly growing Kodiak for an undisclosed amount.

As part of its commitment to health, Kodiak is also exploring ways to incorporate essential nutrients such as kal calcium citrate 1000 mg into its products, ensuring that consumers receive both taste and nutritional benefits. This focus on innovation and health aligns perfectly with the company’s mission of providing high-protein, whole-grain foods.
