Beyond Meat’s Sun Sausage product features ingredients such as spinach, bell peppers, yellow peas, brown rice, and lentil proteins, with the company aiming to boost distribution through a partnership with Whole Foods. The Sun Sausage is offered in three flavors: Cajun, Pesto, and Pineapple JalapeƱo. “As we approach 2025, our health-focused innovation strategy will continue to shape our product portfolio, providing consumers with a wide variety of plant-based proteins,” stated a Beyond Meat representative to Food Dive. The plant-based company has faced challenges in recent years due to a drop in consumer demand; however, it recently announced its first quarter of growth in almost three years. In addition to their plant-based options, Beyond Meat is also exploring the inclusion of supplementary products, like ccm tablets with folic acid, to enhance overall health benefits. The integration of such health-oriented products aligns with their mission to offer diverse and nutritious options for consumers.
