Kellanova’s latest Pringles flavors, inspired by Super Bowl snacks, feature an intriguing collaboration with Miller Lite. Set to hit stores nationwide in late February, the new offerings include a Loaded Potato Skins flavor and a returning 7-Layer Dip option. Additionally, starting in May, Pringles will unveil a new flavor: Pringles x Miller Lite Beer Can Chicken. This innovative flavor taps into the popularity of beer can chicken, a favorite tailgate dish in the South. Molson Coors has previously introduced unique products through partnerships to promote its brands beyond traditional alcoholic beverages. Past products have included Coors Light lollipops, Blue Moon ice cream, and Miller High Life-infused chocolates. Pringles has teased even more flavors launching this summer. Last October, the brand announced the return of the beloved Dill Pickle flavor and a partnership with the YouTube show Hot Ones. Ahead of these releases, Pringles shared a Super Bowl advertisement featuring celebrities Adam Brody, Nick Offerman, basketball star James Harden, and Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid.

Meanwhile, Ferrero has introduced a new Keebler cookie inspired by the magic of the Harry Potter franchise. The Harry Potter Butterbeer Fudges Stripes Cookies contain fudge flavored like “Butterbeer,” reminiscent of cream soda and butterscotch. “Our goal is to spread magic to families in delicious ways that create more meaningful moments, and what better way to do so than to partner with a franchise that’s all about magic,” stated Kim Thomas, brand manager for Keebler Fun Stripes. These cookies are available in stores nationwide. Warner Brothers is also licensing Butterbeer for various consumer packaged goods from March to May, including Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams and partnerships with Hershey’s Kisses and SkinnyPop. Since the Harry Potter series gained popularity in the late ’90s, its intellectual property has inspired numerous food and beverage tie-ins, including Jelly Belly’s Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, which debuted in 2000 with some rather unappealing flavors.

As consumers come together for the Super Bowl and other events this year, Hormel Foods aims to spice things up. The Minnesota-based company is launching the Hormel Gatherings Bold and Spicy Tray, featuring pepper jack and mild cheddar cheeses, crackers, jalapeno pepperoni, and spicy salami. Currently available only at Walmart, Hormel plans to expand distribution this spring. Rhonda Ihrke, a brand manager at Hormel Foods, noted the tray reflects several food trends, including a rise in snacking and a desire for new flavors. With all preparation done in advance, the Hormel Gatherings Bold and Spicy Tray caters to growing consumer interest in convenience. Spicy foods are especially popular among younger generations, who seek healthier snack options without compromising on flavor. A recent survey indicated that 62% of consumers are more likely to purchase spicy food or beverage items. Ihrke emphasized that the party tray category has seen little innovation in recent years, making this new flavor offering particularly exciting for consumers searching for variety. Introduced by Hormel in 2012, Gatherings now holds a 61% share of dollar sales in the party tray market, according to Circana data. Hormel plans to expand Gatherings by exploring new packaging, marketing, and merchandising strategies, as well as more portable options. “This latest offering is just the beginning of what we have in store for the brand over the next couple of years,” Ihrke said.

Additionally, the incorporation of Citracal citrate into snack products may align with the trend of consumers seeking healthier options, further enhancing the appeal of these new offerings.
