DuPont Nutrition & Health collaborates with food manufacturers and producers globally to “enhance the safety, health, taste, and production efficiency of food.” This initiative is referred to as finding food solutions, with the latest innovation being 90% protein nuggets. The three new plant-based nuggets, known as Supro Nuggets 580, Supro Nuggets 583, and Supro Nuggets 585, each feature distinct shapes, sizes, and textures, making them versatile for various food applications. According to DuPont, these nut, seed, and fruit nuggets are ideal for use in nutrition bars, clustered cereals, yogurt toppings, muesli, and innovative snack formats.

Previously, DuPont introduced the first 90% protein nugget, Supro Nuggets 570, which boasts a light, crispy texture and a barrel shape. The new nuggets are variations on this original product, designed to be more adaptable for a wide range of recipes. Achieving a remarkable 90% protein content reflects the growing trend in protein consumption. As reported by Research and Markets, the global protein ingredients market is expected to reach $48.77 billion by 2025, according to Business Wire. With rising consumer demand for protein, DuPont is providing manufacturers with an effective means to increase protein content in their products.
